Apparently I'm always like that. I'd actually planned to take this one slowly, but I did a run-through the night before and found I was 7 minutes over time with nothing obvious that I could leave out so I fell back on the old talking-fast-and-hoping-people-keep-up routine.

An excellent summary John! I'd forgotten about some of the stuff you mentioned there already, the Dell salesmen fighting to give Stefan a discount was most entertaining!

One of the things that amazed me was how may techies were so damn good at presenting. I thought techies were all supposed to be shy, insecure, and not very good at communicating. Guys like Simon, Kevin Rose and these other youngsters came across like they'd been doing it for years, getting laughs from the audience and making it look easy!

Hi John, thank you for your kind duck, Blair and Zimki summary. I must admit I enjoyed giving the talk, the audience was wonderful - unlike my nerves which were a wreck.

@John: Thanks! I think it's quite interesting to wait a week before blogging about it and then seeing which bits are still in the mind. Yes, there were a lot of good presenters, but I was also surprised at how many people stuck to just talking to boring PowerPoints of nothing but bullet points. I think that's why the presentations that used a bit of humour and imagination stood out so much.

@Simon Wardley: You certainly didn't come across as being a nervous wreck, quite the opposite in fact!
